A four-armed, fair-complexioned form riding a lion and seated on a lotus. She holds lotuses in two hands and cradles the infant Skanda (Kartikeya) on her lap, the remaining hand in the abhaya mudra.
Significance
The Devi as the mother of Skanda — the universal mother. She is worshipped for wisdom and for the wellbeing of one's children.
