What is Tarabala?
Tarabala reads the transit Moon’s nakshatra against your janma (birth) nakshatra. From the janma nakshatra, the 27 nakshatras divide into nine taras that repeat three times — Janma, Sampat, Vipat, Kshema, Pratyari, Sadhaka, Vadha, Mitra and Ati-Mitra (Muhurta-chintamani Ch. 4, BPHS Ch. 71).
Three of the nine — Vipat, Pratyari, Vadha — are classed inauspicious; the other six are auspicious. Many practitioners soften the bare Chandra Balam house rule with this Tara Balam adjustment; we report both, separately.
Birth data stays on your device. We never send the rashi or nakshatra you enter to a server, and we don’t log analytics events tied to it.
