The Isha (or Ishavasya) Upanishad is one of the shortest and most revered of the principal Upanishads, forming the final chapter of the Shukla Yajurveda. In eighteen terse mantras it teaches the all-pervading indwelling of the Lord (Isha) in everything, the harmony of action and renunciation, and the vision of the one Self in all beings. It opens and closes with the purnamadah shanti-patha ('That is whole, this is whole…'). The Devanagari is given with strict IAST transliteration and a researched per-mantra meaning gloss in English and Hindi.
